Privacy protection is baked-in to the Join Cloud.
For many companies, what you do, who you are and how you think are valuable commodities. Your private information, biometric data, and even behavior should never be monetizable.
At Join, privacy is foundational and what you do on our network is your business. The Join Cloud is made for you to get work done and nothing else.
For today’s modern workforce, more and more of our work and lives are transmitted online. Cloud, networking and connectivity providers have a responsibility to their customers to ensure everyone’s data is kept private. Join takes this responsibility seriously.
All data you send and receive over our network infrastructure is secure and private. Your data will never be sold to any third party, and is only used to improve your experience.
Join follows the highest level of enterprise security best practices to ensure all your private data remains safe and secure. We only use your name and email address to create your Join account, ensuring you or your company administrator can manage your data.
All of your personal information is pseudonymized, encrypted, and stored securely in the Join Cloud.
Secure identity and access management is a core to Join. All data is encrypted at rest and in flight to ensure your sensitive content stays secure. We always use a centralized point of authentication to securely connect you to your resources.
Join continuously verifies users and devices. We validate devices and users independent of their location, and only grant access to authorized network resources and services once they are fully verified.
Meet corporate security and regulatory requirements with confidence.
Maintaining GDPR Compliance
Join makes it easy for companies that work with European employees, customers, and partners to comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We offer a GDPR-compliant Data Processing Addendum (DPA), so you can assure your stakeholders that Join fulfills the GDPR’s data protection requirements, giving you visibility into what data we collect, how that data is used, and the control to delete your data at any time.
Protecting Your PII
It’s a fact of doing business that every company will acquire, store, or use personally identifiable information (PII) in some way. Join is commited to managing private data appropriately, and we replace all personally identifiable material with artificial identifiers and pseudonymize all names. Any data that may contain PII will never be transmitted in clear text, ensuring your private information stays private.
Safeguarding Intellectual Property
Join understands that intellectual property can be a company’s most valuable asset. We take the security of your intellectual property data seriously. We encode all messages so only those who have proper authorization can read them. Join’s enhanced security features adds additional layers of protection against unauthorized access to your important information, allowing you to maintain awareness of all your sensitive data.
Keeping Biometric Data Safe
While Join does not use or store any biometric data, we recognize that our customers entrust us with other equally sensitive data, and we take every precaution to protect it from loss, unauthorized access, or theft. Our access restriction and usage intelligence applies to all data transmitted over the Join Cloud, so that you can remain confident that all your data remains secure.
Addressing Government Data Requests
From time to time, we may receive various governement requests for data. We respect the privacy of our customers’ data, and will review each request to ensure there is a valid legal basis. If the request is valid, we will comply with the terms of the request, making sure to keep you informed throughout the process. We do not provide law enforcement with a key or backdoor to any Join systems.
Preventing Data Exfiltration
Join helps you shut down bad actors – whether external attacker or accidental insider – from unauthorized transfer of your data. Sensitive data is encrypted at rest, and any application information that is passing over public networks is encrypted to protect it from fraudulent activity, contract disputes, and unauthorized disclosure and modification.
